After breakfast we begin on a thrilling one-hour ascent to explore two villages that serve as epitomes of local architecture. Perched at a considerable height, these villages boast fortress-like structures reminiscent of feudal times. Crafted entirely from rough stones meticulously arranged without the use of cement, these villages showcase the unique character of the area. Take in the beauty of grand wooden doors, often intricately adorned, as you pass through imposing porches.
As you descend into the enchanting Tazayoute gorges, you’ll encounter pockets of banana crops timidly making their presence known. Keep an eye out for glimpses of wild boars in their natural habitat. Ascend through the gorges and navigate the challenging terrain to cross the Timsguida collar. After a 1 hour and 30-minute walk, you’ll arrive at the oasis of Toshka, nestled at an elevation of 460 meters. We ascend along a beautiful valley until we reach Imzi Village. Then, via a steep path and gorges, we connect to Tagdicht. From there, we continue upwards to reach Anzguer pass at 1300m, a village situated in a stunning location that overlooks the region. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a local house.
After breakfast, we begin our day trek by descending through Anzgarn in the gorge of the Takoucht river. We then head up to the Aguerd n’Ouzrou pass, where we will take a lunch break. In the afternoon, we continue with an easy and beautiful stroll through villages and small farms. We conclude this trek by arriving at the foot of Lekst Mountain, in the village of Ait Iften, at an elevation of 1450 m. We will spend the night in a local house.

Our journey unfolded along the Shepherds Trail, a path faintly etched amidst the towering oaks, sprawling mountain meadows, and rugged rock formations.
