After the morning assembly, we embark on a drive to the east, leaving Ouarzazate and crossing a vast lunar plateau nestled between Jebel Saghro and Mount Mgoun. Continuing our expedition, we enjoy a break to visit the Amridil Kasbah, nestled in the Skour palm groves. Along the way, we encounter captivating fortified houses of Kasbahs, leading us to the charming Roses Valley, where a delightful stroll awaits.

The journey unfolds amid the rugged beauty of nature, offering a truly immersive experience.
As we traverse through an area of breathtaking geological beauty, our senses are captivated by the awe-inspiring scenery that unfolds before us. The landscape is adorned with towering rock formations, locally referred to as Tismawin in Amazigh, casting long shadows that dance with the play of sunlight. These conglomerate rock spires, weathered and shaped by the hands of time, stand as sentinels of the earth’s ancient history. Upon finding a secluded spot, we decide to set up our camp in a depression nestled amidst these majestic spires. The chosen location allows us to fully immerse ourselves in the embrace of the surroundings, providing a front-row seat to the symphony of colors that unfolds during sunrise and sunset.
Our expedition reaches its pinnacle as we emerge from the labyrinth, greeted by the awe-inspiring landscape that many consider to be the jewel of Sahro. This hidden gem, with its breathtaking views and the play of light and shadow paints the landscape in hues that evoke a surreal, almost otherworldly atmosphere.
In the heart of this natural masterpiece, the radiant Bab n’Ali stands as a testament to the grandeur of the Sahro region. Its towering presence commands attention, a silent guardian of the secrets embedded in the rocky folds of the landscape. The twin rock towers, weathered by countless seasons, whisper tales of a bygone era, adding a layer of historical intrigue to the already captivating scenery.
After lunch in this magnificent place we set off for another 2/3 hours, the allure of the Afourar Gorge persists, drawing us deeper into its spellbinding embrace. The canyon, carved by the patient hands of time, reveals layers of geological history etched into the very fabric of the earth. Each twist and turn in the trail opens up new perspectives, leaving us in awe of the natural forces that have sculpted this mesmerizing tapestry. We conclude our Saghro day trek by joining our camp set up At Igli.
After breakfast, we climbed the Tassigdelt cliffs, from where we appreciated the beauty of this landscape, its shapes, and colors. A good Nomad path led us to the summit of Kouaouch (2570 m), where we enjoyed a beautiful view of the M’goun mountain range in the High Atlas. After this wonderful break, we followed down the Arg valley, where some nomadic families have settled and created a tiny oasis. Our Jebel Saghro trek concluded near the village of Imi N Ouarg.
we bid farewell to our team and set out on our adventure, heading towards the enchanting Dades Valley. Our drive takes us along the same route as the previous day, retracing our steps until we reach the captivating town of Ouarzazate. Along the way, we pause for lunch. Following our morning meal, our vacation officially concludes, leaving the entire day open for leisurely exploration through Ouarzazate city if your departure time is late. The main course is usually rice, pasta, couscous, spaghetti or chips, with a vegetable stew (or tagine) consisting of some of the following – onion, potato, carrot, green pepper, zucchini, turnip, parsnip, green beans, and peas. There will be some meat (usually chicken, lamb or beef), however meat is not prominent in the menu. All dishes come with traditional sauces which are rarely (spicy) hot. To round off dinner, there is the usual range of hot drinks and some fruits.

It is customary for the group to collectively decide on the final amount of tips to be distributed among the guide, cook, and porters, as their responsibilities differ. We suggest that approximately £55 per group member would be an appropriate amount to ensure fair compensation, which you can give directly to them.
